Caffeine Calculation Formulas
Daily Caffeine Limit
Formula: Body Weight (kg) × Sensitivity Factor = Daily Limit (mg)
Sensitivity Factors:
- • Very Tolerant: 8 mg/kg (max 400mg)
- • Tolerant: 7 mg/kg (max 400mg)
- • Average: 6 mg/kg (max 400mg)
- • Sensitive: 4 mg/kg
- • Very Sensitive: 3 mg/kg
Safe Cups per Day
Formula: Daily Caffeine Limit ÷ Caffeine per Cup = Safe Cups
Example: 400mg ÷ 95mg = 4.2 cups maximum per day
Brewing Ratio Calculation
Formula: (Desired Volume ÷ Standard Volume) × Standard Coffee Amount = Coffee Needed
Example: (400ml ÷ 300ml) × 20g = 26.7g coffee needed
