Understanding the Air Force PT Test
Test Overview
The Air Force Physical Training (PT) test is designed to assess the physical fitness and readiness of Air Force personnel. It consists of four components that evaluate different aspects of physical fitness.
Scoring System
- •Body Composition: 20 points maximum
- •Push-ups: 10 points maximum
- •Sit-ups: 10 points maximum
- •1.5-Mile Run: 60 points maximum
Passing Requirements
- Minimum Component Score: Must score above 0 in all components
- Composite Score: 75 points minimum (for run test)
- Excellent: 90+ points
- Satisfactory: 75-89.9 points
- Unsatisfactory: Below 75 points
Alternate Aerobic Standard
2K Walk: Available for members with medical limitations. Must pass walk within time limit and meet minimum standards for other components.
